Synopsis

16-year-old Tobias is forced by his absent mother to spend the summer at his grandparents’, where his grandfather works full-time and also cares for his wife, who has dementia. Tobias soon has an encounter with Aron, a local 25-year-old painter.

Their mutual attraction grows, but Tobias’ inner demons prevent him from accepting anything more than fleeting affection, so he pushes Aron away whenever emotions run too deep.

When tragedy strikes, Tobias plunges headfirst into a dark hole of self-harm, lust and loneliness, convinced he deserves every ounce of suffering. Will he find the strength to break free from his self-destructive patterns and embrace the love he so desperately craves?
