“Gays Against Guns” thrusts us onto the frontlines of America’s gun violence epidemic, from the massacre at the Pulse gay nightclub in 2016 to recent ICE killings in Minneapolis. We witness this decade through the eyes of our filmmaker, an Irish immigrant who left home chasing the ‘Gay American Dream’ to find himself facing the country's darkest realities.

Following the outrageous activist group - Gays Against Guns - the film takes us on a rollercoaster ride, from neon-splashed street protests into the ivory corridors of power. Personal reflections are intercut with fearless, often hilarious, political theatre. Legendary filmmaker John Waters chimes in, with his notoriously sharp wit, as GAG confronts gun-toting zealots and bears witness to poignant survivors’ stories.
