The Judgment

Synopsis

Mo returns from the U.S. to Egypt for a family emergency with his partner, Hisham, and is forced back into the closet. Coming back leaves Mo anxious and uneasy, and he begins to believe someone knows and is using witchcraft to intimidate him.
Although now an atheist, the witchcraft brings Mo's childhood traumas, deep religious fears, and shame over "living in sin" to the surface. The sins accumulating begin to quite literally haunt him through the witchcraft, leading to the confrontation Mo always feared. Will he be strong enough to fight back and eventually be liberated?

A family drama / thriller exploring gay shame, religion, and healing – a film as sensual as it is terrifying.
