Synopsis

On her 18th birthday, free-spirited Elliott ditches her family, hooks up with a girl, and does mushrooms in the woods with her friends. Once it hits, she suddenly comes face-to-face with her 39-year-old self.
Shocked at first, the meeting soon becomes a playful, quick-witted examination of aging, but things get complicated.

Young Elliot realizes that she actually did meet her older self when she receives a call from the name "My Old Ass". Suddenly, older Elliot is texting advice and warnings, for her to spend time with her brothers, talk to her mom, and not to fall in love.

My Old Ass is a sweet teenage love story and nuanced exploration of the uncertainties of young romance, sexuality, and coming of age, with great chemistry between the two Elliots: Maisy Stella (Nashville) and Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus).
