Synopsis

Valentines Day, New Jersey – a busy day of sex work for Ponyboi. When he learns that his estranged father is dying, painful memories of growing up intersex in a traditional Salvadoran household resurface. Things take a turn for the worse when a drug deal goes wrong, forcing Ponyboi to run from the mob and his abusive pimp. With the help of a mysterious cowboy, Bruce, Ponyboi journeys through the underbelly of New Jersey on a quest for freedom in a gripping 24 hours.

Written, produced and starring queer intersex non-binary model, actor, and activist River Gallo, Ponyboi is a refreshing and suspenseful roadmovie, with LGBTQIA+ / BIPOC characters we rarely get to see on screen. Highly recommended!
