Fifteen-year-old Malou is struggling with finding herself. It’s not easy being an androgynous adolescent growing up in a small town, but in the local rowing club she finds passion on the water, and she excels at the sport. While her mother is absent dating, and under her rowing teammates constant bullying, the one person she can rely on is her older brother Max. Over the course of a summer, Max introduces his girlfriend Nouria, there is a connection, and Malou’s attraction soon evolves into real feelings. This, combined with questions about her gender identity, throws Malou's life into turmoil. Will Malou face her true self, even if it means betraying Max, her friend, protector, and brother.

A tender, realistic and at times gut-wrenching film, with a sensational Femke Vanhove as the torn Malou.
