Biography

Alexis Langlois (they/them) studied at Paris 8 University and the Ecole Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy, and began their career by filming their friends, their demons, and their rebellion in a series of short films that would gradually outline their signature political, satirical, and poetic glittercore universe.

After the success of their short films,Terror, Sisters ! (winner of the Grand Prix at Bordeaux Int. Independent Film Festival 2019), and The Demons of Dorothy  (winner of the Silver Leopard at Locarno Film Festival in 2021), which screened at over hundred film festivals around the world, Alexis made their feature film debut with the musical fantasy Queens of Drama, which premiered at Cannes Critics' Week in 2024 - and which they now will present at Oslo/Fusion.
