Acsexybility

Brazil – 2023

Synopsis

Acsexybility is a documentary located at the intersection of disability and queerness, with deeply personal stories from people with various disabilities.

Through the subjects’ candidness, erotic power, and vulnerability, this film enriches, implicates, and breaks open a deep and long overdue conversation around the community’s sexuality, fantasies, and expressions - ultimately deconstructing stereotypes of the disabled person as fragile and asexual, and changing the idea of them as angelic, special and even devoid of desires.

The film addresses everything from flirting, dating, kissing, masturbating, ableism, and of course sex. As they themselves put it: “We fuck and we fuck well.”
