Synopsis

Young and gay, Ellis has lived on the street for years after his mother kicked him out. As a last resort he decides to complete one of the worlds hardest educations, by enlisting as a US Marine. He wants to get away from the streets, but also hopes to reconcile with his mother. In the military he is met by heavy training and prejudices, but Ellis is determined to fit in, in a system that is set on rejecting him. 

Director Elegance Bratton has created a deeply moving film, basen on his own life story. Lead actor Jeremy Pope delivers a powerful and touching performance as the young Ellis French.
