Todd Verow

Writer and director

Todd Verow is the director of You Can't Stay Here and Last Night at Belvedere, and curator of the tribute program Charles Lum: This Is Where I Get Off.
Verow made his feature film debut with FRISK in 1996. Starting his own production company Bangor Films, he has directed over 30 features and numerous shorts, establishing himself as the most prolific auteur emeritus of the New Queer Cinema. Fiercely independent, Verow produces his films using whatever money he has. He proudly describes himself as an underground filmmaker in the tradition of his idols George and Mike Kuchar, Kenneth Anger, Jack Smith and Andy Warhol.
In 2022 he won the BLIKK Audience Award for the short film My Almost First Time, co-directed with Charles Lum.
