Under Pressure: Iran & Its Queers

More about
Under Pressure: Iran & Its Queers

The feminist and queer revolution has been active for one year now. The people of Iran are going through a new everyday life every day in small and large acts of resistance, because there is no "going back" this time. This everyday resistance and the subversive and intricate codes can also be seen in these short films. We accompany trans children and adults as they survive this violent system - through all classes and from urban to rural areas.

We follow cis women who accompany them in the struggle and we can witness a very rare lesbian representation in an Iranian film. The revolution will bear its fruits and hopefully queer people and women will soon be able to live in peace and security.

Curated and presented by Nastaran Tajeri-Foumani, with the support of Fritt Ord. Free entry, but tickets must be picked up at the box office.
